Located a few miles southwest of Grangeville on the Old Girton
Farm
It is now in the
Crimson Ridge Subdivision and thanks to the homeowners, the cemetery is mowed
and still watched over.
Girton Cemetery is located in an enclosed area on private land
southwest of Grangeville. The homestead land was in T30N R2E, parts of Sec 25 & 26. It had been neglected for years but in the 1980's was renovated with a newspaper article about the event which I haven't been able to come up with yet.

Obit says - Mrs. T.W. Girton died at her home "near
this city" August 13, 1901, of cancer, "aged 52 years, 3
months, and 8 days". Born in Lee county, Iowa, May 5, 1849, moved
to Benton county, Oregon, with parents in 1853, married on October 12,
1872, to T.W. Girton, and at once moved to Camas Prairie. Member of the
United Brethren church. Survivors were Mrs. John (Lottie) Wilson,
Lizzie, Carrie, and Charles. "Funeral took place yesterday at the
residence and the remains were followed to their resting place on the
old homestead." This agrees with the grandson's memory.
Thomas's obituary states this is Hulda Hinkle Girton.
*Corrections from Shelli Hart: Lena's correct maiden name was Helena
Hinkle.
