The following is a list of the burials in the Mt. Idaho Cemetary, approximately 7 miles southeast of Grangeville, Idaho County, Idaho. The cemetery sits up a small hill off of Highway 12 in the town of Mt. 
Idaho. Go through Mt. Idaho and as you are leaving town, the highway veers to the left, there is a gravel road to the right that goes up the hill. The cemetery is on the left as you go up the hill. Mt. Idaho was once a fort. All that remains today of the fort is the brick chimney which is enclosed by a fence and there is a sign marking it. By 1875 Mount Idaho was developing into it's own little community. Built largely as a stop for traffic to the gold fields of Florence and
the Elk City/Buffalo Hump Mining areas. It won a special election in 1875 for the county seat of Idaho County.
The list consists only of names, very few dates or other information, and is typed just as it was written in the Cemetery Plot Book. Most of the stones date back to the late 1800's early 1900's, but there are quite a few newer ones and there are still burials that take place there. I go to Grangeville quite often to visit friends and family, so next time I will try to make a trip to the cemetery and get information off of the stones to add to this list. 

This list was obtained in August 2003 from the Cemetery District. Who was kind enough to allow me to take the cemetery books and copy them. I will try and update the information on one of my next trips there.  The information below is only what was in the record book.
