Rites Held Thursday For Mrs. Wm. Cash
Last rites for Mary Alice Cash, 67, who died early Sunday at
her home three miles southwest of Grangeville were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the
Robertson Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Glenn Warner officiated and Mrs. LaVerne
Tooley provided the music.
Mrs. Cash was born December 4, 1884 in Chillicothe, Missouri and came to Idaho
county with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Halford when she was seven years old.
They farmed near Grangeville in the Mount Idaho district where she married
William W. Cash in Grangeville in 1902 and they made their home on his farm
since.
Mrs. Cash had been in ill health for some time and was returned home from the
hospital one month ago.
Surviving relatives include her husband, one son, Frank Cash of Stites; three
daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Edwards and Mrs. Dora Andrews of Grangeville; Mrs. Alma
Zornes, Big Bend, California; three sisters, Mrs. John Warden, Grangeville; Mrs.
Maynard Ginger, Great Falls; Mrs. Minnie Howe, Wheeling, Missouri; Montana; one
brother, George Parks, Grangeville; 19 grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ira Kerlee, Elda Shearer, Guy Elder, Walter Cash, Francis James
and Bill Eller. Interment was in Prairie View Cemetery
