CLARENCE E. GARETS DIES IN SPOKANE

Word was received here early Wednesday morning about 5 a.m. that Clarence E. Garets had died at his home in Spokane about two hours previously of heart trouble.
Almost immediately Mrs. George Garets, accompanied by her daughter Elma, and Rudolph Von Berge of Fenn, started for Spokane.
The deceased man is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Garets of this city, a young man of excellent habits and World War veteran, having served six months on the Mexican border and 18 months in France. He was a member of 116th Engineers, 41st Division.
Besides his wife, formerly Miss Elsie VonBerge of Grangeville, and a little daughter about three years old, he leaves a father, mother, sister and brother, and a host of friends in the community to regret his untimely death.
The body was brought to Grangeville Wednesday evening and the funeral services held from the Federated Church on Thursday, March 5, at 2 p.m., the Rev. Ernest Barber, officiating. His comrades in arms acted as pallbearers. Interment was in Prairie View Cemetery.
