IDAHO TRI-STATE WEEKLY

FEBRUARY 17, 1874

Captain Charles LeFrancois died at Lewiston on the 2d instant, after a long and painful illness.  He came to the Territory in 1861, at the time of the Florence mining excitement, located a place on the road to Florence above Camas Prairie, and kept a public house, known as the "Frenchman's".  He married Madam Bonhore in Lewiston in 1863 and has resided there since.  He was very much respected and formed a large circle of friends to mourn his loss.
