J.H. Ring who has been for 18 years a citizen of Idaho county, died at his residence in Cottonwood last Friday morning.  He originally farmed in the Greencreek section where he owned a 320 acre farm.  The deceased is a native of the south, coming from North Carolina and first locating in the Palouse country and later making his home on the prairie where he won a vast number of friends who admitted his integrity and splendid character.  The funeral was held in Cottonwood last Sunday from the I.O.O.
