| Area rancher Roy Forest Turner, 63, Grangeville, passed away
Monday about 8 miles north east of Grangeville, according to the Idaho County
Sheriff's Department. Turner's body was discovered just off Luke's Gulch
Road. His death was attributed to self-inflicted carbon monoxide asphyxiation. |

| Roy Forrest Turner, 63, died April 19, 1976. Turner was
born October 25, 1911 to Mr. and Mrs. George E. Turner at Winona, Idaho.
He moved with his parents to the Fairview area as a small child. He
attended school at Fairview. He married Vera Lamb, October 12, 1930 in
Grangeville. They farmed in the Fairview area until 1932 when they moved
to Winona, farming there until 1935. Returning to Fairview in 1935, he had
farmed there until the time of his death. He was a member of the First
Christian Church of Grangeville. Survivors include his widow, Vera, at the
family home; two sons, Danny and Daryl, both of Grangeville; one daughter,
Mrs.Marie Lotze of Colville, Wash.; three brothers, William of Lewiston, Harold
of Trail, Minn., and Walter of Grangeville; one sister, Mrs. Laura Mae Cox of
Grangeville; and six grandchildren. Services were held April 24 at the Hanson-Noland
Funeral Home in Grangeville. Burial followed at Prairie View
Cemetery. Those who wish may make contributions to the paint fund at the
First Christian Church or the charity of choice. |
