DIED

WILMOT – At Mt. Idaho, I.T., on the 23d inst., Richard Wilmot, aged about 30 years.  It will be remembered that, on the 7th inst., deceased met with an accident at Mount Idaho, while leading L.P. Brown’s stallion to water, by which his right leg became broken and severely mangled.  We learn that this fact was the immediate cause of his death.  Deceased leaves a large circle of relatives and friends in the vicinity of Mount Idaho, as well as in California.  He served four years during the late war in Capt. DeMerritt’s volunteer company, raised at Sacramento, called the Sacramento Rangers.
