BARLOW, CLYDE ~ Born 27-Apr-1917, Died 28-Oct-2004. His ashes were spread in Dixie, Idaho. He was at Pearl Harbor the morning they attacked he served in the Navy He was cremated and ashes were spread in Dixie Idaho. along the Salmon River where he and his first wife had a ranch. We hiked to it 10 yrs or so ago and a Virginia Wolfe was the current owner. She fed us, put us up in the loft for the night and the next day we said goodbye when she caught a ride with a passing rafting party. He had a log that was interesting to read concerning Dec 7. After the Navy and ranching in Dixie he opened a restaurant that he had for a great many yrs. in McCall ID. After selling that he bought the farm in Parma ID where he farmed until he was 75 yrs. old [Elmore County]

Buried Restlawn Cemetery., Footnote: Sometime around 1946-1947 My folks were involved in politics there in Idaho and knew Senator Taylor quite well. My mother longed for Jack's remains to be brought home from Europe and Senator Taylor got the job done, that is bringing home a coffin that is supposed to contain his remains. Just one more item, we pretty much grew up in the small community of Tyhee, 6 miles north of Pocatello [Bannock County]

ISENBERG, CARL LOGAN ~ born Caldwell, Idaho 20 December 1902; died Boise, Idaho 29 April 1974. Buried Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, Idaho. Parents: John Logan Isenberg and Cora McConnel Isenberg, daughter of David K. McConnel. Enlisted in the 116th Cavalry Regiment, Idaho National Guard December 1921. Commissioned as 2d lieutenant Adjutants General Department November 1926. Promoted to 1st lieutenant, Cavalry May 1927; to captain, field artillery February 1929. Called to active duty October 1940. Promoted to major, field artillery May 1941 and to lieutenant colonel, field artillery May 1943. Served at Fort Francis E. Warren, Cheyenne, Wyoming and Fort Lewis, Washington. Assigned as commander, 951st Field Artillery Battalion (155mm Howitzer, Towed). May 1943. Took the battalion to England in December 1944. Participated in the Normandy Invasion in June 1944, taking the battalion ashore at Utah Beach on D+3 as part of VII Corps Artillery. Commanded the 951st FA Battalion throughout the remainder of the European War, participating in the St. Lo breakout, Battle of the Bulge, and battle of the Heurtgen Forest. Returned to the United States August 1945. Served on the Marshal Mission in Peiping, China under General George C. Marshall March thru November 1946. Assigned as U.S. Property and Fiscal Officer, Headquarters, Idaho National Guard May 1948. Retired with rank of colonel in 1957. [Canyon County]
KEARBEY, JOHN P. ~ birth: January 4, 1910 and passed away at age 91 on September 12, 2001 in Bonner County, Idaho. He had been a resident of Priest River, Idaho since 1972. John served in the U.S. Navy from December 30, 1943 to November 9, 1945, in the Asiatic Pacific Conflict. He was one of the first on Guam and was shot off a pole while running communications. He was honorably discharged. He is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Priest River, Idaho. [Bonner County]
