More information will also be coming on a McCall celebration of Lance’s life.
Lance was born June 26, 1961 in Morris, Ill., the fifth of five boys born to Shirley (Satre) Hansen and Harvey Hansen of Morris.
Lance grew up and attended schools in Morris. After graduation from Morris High School with the class of 1979 and few years working and traveling in the Midwest, he moved to McCall, where he loved to hunt, hike, fish, and camp.
Lance was skilled in fine carpentry and cabinet making, and was employed in the Valley County area of Idaho for the last 20 years.
A continued interest in guitar playing grew into guitar making and song writing.
Inspired by life experiences and surrounded by the natural beauty of the mountains, woods, and streams, Lance composed the music and lyrics of many songs.
In 2008 he produced a solo CD of his music called “Inside Out.” He performed his music solo and with friends, eventually co-founding a local McCall mixed genre band called “B4Zero,” committed to playing their own original music.
Lance sang and played acoustic, electric, and power slide guitar with the group. Their first CD was to be recorded this month.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Hansen, in 1988.
Lance is survived by his father, Harvey Hansen (Lydia Varas); brothers Brent (Jaye) of Colorado, Eric of Wisconsin, Ed (Julie) of Morris, Monte (Verna) of Texas, three nieces and three nephews, uncle Leonard Hansen and aunt Lois of Minooka, aunts Betty Hansen of Manhattan, Ill., Elna Siron of Bloomington, Ill., Dorothy Satre of Nampa; and many cousins and friends.
