Betty J. Johnson, 87, of Nampa, formerly of Donnelly, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011.
A memorial service was held Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Betty was born on April 17, 1924 in Buhl to Frank and Lula Burke (Castile). She attended school in Jerome and Payette.
Betty later married the love of her life, Marvin L. Johnson, in Mount Vernon, Wash., on Aug. 30, 1943. Over the years they lived in Wendell, Jerome, Payette, Donnelly and Mountain Home. In Donnelly they owned Marv & Betty’s Drive In.
Betty relished the opportunity to spend time outdoors. And more than anything she loving spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Bruce) Lord; her granddaughters, Sandi Anderson, Teri Acree, Stephanie Johnson and Jennifer Johnson; and her grandsons, Rob Johnson, and Jared Lord; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Johnson; son, Dick Johnson; grandson, Philip Johnson; three brothers; and one sister.
