Frances F. Killingsworth, 91, formerly of Cascade, died Nov. 22, 2011, at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Boise of natural causes.
The Idaho State Veterans Home will hold a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec.14, 2011.
The Cascade American Legion Post will have a memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012 at the Legion hall at 105 E. Mill St., Cascade
She was born Nov 12, 1920, at Coaldale, Alberta, Canada, to Claire E. and Jennie Cannon.
She married Melvin R. Killingsworth in Nevada on Feb. 11, 1950.
Frances joined the women’s U.S. Navy in 1944 and was honorably discharged one year later in 1945.
She was a beautician for many years. Frances loved to play bingo - it was the highlight of her day. She played bingo at the Cascade Senior Citizen Center for many years.
Frances was loved by many in Cascade and was a member of the Cascade Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 8, 1995, and by her parents.
Frances is survived by two sisters, Jean (Cannon) York of Coeur d’Alene and Betty (Cannon) Miller of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; and a niece, Bonnie Bartell of Loomis, Calif.
