Beverly was born April 19, 1926 in Parker to Joseph Vernal and Ella Mason Brown. She was the oldest of 12 children.

She lived a fairly adventurous life, beginning as a child living on the banks of the Snake River with a clear view of the Teton Mountain Range.

Many days were spent swimming and fishing. Those were some of her happiest memories as a child.

During World War II, the summer she was 17, Beverly went with her Dad to the shipyards in Vancouver, Wash. She then moved to Las Vegas living with an aunt and her family.

Her cousins, Pam and Gwen would take her to the USO club at Nellis AFB where she learned that she loved to dance.

When she turned 18, she went to California and got a job riveting metal on airplanes for Douglas Aircraft and became a “Rosie the Riveter,” a nickname for women who worked on aircraft during the war.

In August 1945, she gave birth to her first daughter, Valerii. There was much discussion about placing her for adoption, and in the end, it was decided that Beverly’s parents would legally adopt her.

Beverly met and married Loy Carter in December of that same year. Two children were born to this marriage. Dennis was born in 1948, and Curtis in 1951.

Curtis was born a month early and when he was one month old, he got pneumonia and passed away. Soon after, the marriage dissolved.

Beverly then moved to Ogden, Utah, to work at Hill Air Force Base. While there she met Robert Farnsworth and they were married in December 1953.

Beverly and Robert were living in Hooper, Utah, when she gave birth to her last three children, Faye Ann in 1958, Frank in 1960, and Jonathan in 1962.

The family spent many long wonderful summers in West Yellowstone, Mont., living in a homemade camper on Hebgen Lake.

After some very difficult years, she divorced Robert in 1970 and took the three kids to Parker, where they lived on the family property in a mobile home. Beverly went to Ricks College and attained her nursing degree.

She worked at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg then went to Pocatello for a time and worked in a doctor’s office. When she and Bob remarried in 1976, she got a job at McCall Memorial Hospital in McCall.

Her years in McCall were very adventurous. She and Bob became good friends with Dr. Orson K. Miller and his wife, Hope. Through this friendship they learned about the local mushroom and fungi presence in central Idaho and Montana, becoming one of the area’s best know amateur mycologists.

They fished, hiked, camped, and enjoyed much of what this area had to offer.

When she and Bob divorced a second time in 1992, she became active in her church. She was able to go on two missions to foreign countries.

The first was to The Dominican Republic where she was the primary nurse for about 125 or more young men and women.

She then went to Ecuador, where she became ill and had to go home early. That is when she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure.

She came back to McCall to be closer to Faye as she knew she would need someone close. She remained active in her church and became acquainted with Jim Crummett, who had lost his wife earlier.

After many attempts on Jim’s part, Beverly finally realized she loved this man and they were married in February of 2005.

Although they only had four short years together, they lived those years well. Jim passed away in May of 2009.

Beverly always made friends easily and many people love her and will miss her deeply.

She had seven children, 15 grandchildren, and 33 great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Valerie Brown Schaechter of McGill Nev., Dennis (Blanca) Carter of Mesa, Ariz., Faye (Neal) Thompson of McCall, Frank (Tori) Farnsworth of Coeur d’Alene, and Jonathan (Kellie) Farnsworth of Rathdrum.

She is also survived by her sisters, llene of Draper, Utah, Marilyn (Elmo) Seeley of Chester, Leila (Tim) Chadwick of American Fork, Utah, Linelle (Doyle) Rose of West Jordan, Utah, and Verla (Dean) Beus of Riverdale, Utah., and her brothers, Jack (Emma) Brown of Orem, Utah, Joel (Ilene) Brown of Bountiful, Utah, Max (Linda) Brown of Pensacola, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ella Brown, son, Curtis and two sisters, Eleanor Brown and Verus Ronnenkamp, and one brother, Wyn Brown, and husbands Loy, Carter, Robert Farnsworth and Jim Crummett.
