Roy Guy Fenn, 80, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 6, 2011, in Boise, after a short illness.
A memorial will be planned later in the spring at Roy’s residence in New Meadows with family and friends, just as he would have wanted.
He was born Nov. 2, 1930, to Roscoe Fenn and Doris Masters Fenn in San Diego, Calif.
Roy graduated from La Jolla High School in 1948 and worked in San Diego County until 1987.
His transition to Idaho 23 years ago had brought him great joy while being surrounded by such a wonderful group of close friends, neighbors and acquaintances.
Roy had three passions in his life - being independent, his dog/ companion “Yoda” and his love of football and his Oakland Raiders.
All of his friends understood his independence, his love of animals and enjoyed the banter over differing football loyalties.
Roy is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Maryland Fenn of Poway, Calif.; his former wife, Jo Ann Fenn of San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Elaine, and nephew, Mike Weirather, of La Jolla, Calif.; and two granddaughters, Jennifer and Alison Fenn, in San Diego.
Family and friends wish to extend sincere thanks to the staff of St. Luke’s/McCall hospitals and the Life Care Center of Boise for care and attention.
