Loisjeanne Ferguson

On Jan. 30, 2011 the world lost an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Loisjeanne Ferguson. A private service will be held at a later date.

Loisjeanne, or LJ, resided in McCall for almost 11 years.

LJ was born in Whittier, Calif., on Feb. 11, 1927 to George and Georgette Lusk. LJ received her education at Whittier College where she studied Art.

LJ met her beloved husband, Harold Ferguson and the couple married on April 9, 1950. The couple had three wonderful children Rodd, Shea, and Russ.

They raised their family in Whittier, Calif., for 20 years where LJ was a homemaker and helped with emotionally handicapped children while Harold worked for California Edison.

They later moved to Mammoth Lakes, Calif., where they lived from 1976 to 2000. In 2000 the couple moved to McCall to live the retired life and to continue their journey.

LJ had a big heart and loved to help everybody of need. All who met or knew LJ were touched immediately by her kindhearted soul. She was such an inspiration to her family and will be deeply missed.

LJ had many hobbies in her life that included: playing the piano, painting, sewing, hiking, fishing, and cross-country skiing. However, her biggest love in life was her family.

LJ is survived by her husband, Harold; son, Rodd Ferguson (Whittier, Calif.); daughter, Shea Grove (McCall); son, Russ Ferguson (Mammoth Lakes, Calif.); seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

You will be missed more than words can describe. We all can’t wait to be with you again.
