Raymond Carl Callaham, 75, passed away Aug. 9, 2012, at home. Services will be held Thursday, Aug. 16, at 3 p.m. at the Idaho Veterans Cemetery in Boise.
Ray was born in North Platte, Neb., to Carl and Julia Callaham, the youngest of nine children.
When Ray was age 2 he and his family moved to Parma, where the family farmed.
When Ray was 17 he joined the U.S. Air Force. He married Olga McGinnis in 1955, and they divorced in 1971.
In 1971, Ray married Sharon Russell. After Ray retired from the Air Force in 1974 they moved to McCall, where Ray worked in the McCall area as an electrician and plumber before opening his own business, C&S Contracting.
After he retired, Ray and Sharon moved to California, where Ray started working again as an electrician for the Hayward school district.
Ray and Sharon moved to Boise in 2002 to be closer to family and the fishing and hunting that Ray loved to do.
Ray is survived by his wife, Sharon; sisters Lela Porter, Sadie (Ed)Shultz, and Clara Lovitt; and his 11 children, Joni (Steve) Bostick, Michael Russell, Terry Callaham, Dawn (Doc) Daughtery, Crystal Loughran, Debra (Bill) Hass, Brian Callaham, Deborah (Richard) Mckinstry, Steve (Patti) Russell , Wanda Callaham and Ron (Melissa) Russell. Ray also has numerous grandchildren great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
