Arnold G. Cornell, 64, formerly of McCall, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 11, 2012, at Oak Valley Hospital in Oakdale, Calif.
Services will be held on Friday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. in the Oakdale Memorial Chapel located at 830 West “F” St. Oakdale, Calif.
He was born July 15, 1948. He was a distinguished Vietnam combat veteran.
For many years after, Arnie was a cement truck driver who recently retired to enjoy the life of leisure.
He enjoyed many recreational activities that included fishing and traveling as well as spending quality time with his family. Arnie was also an avid 49ers and Giants fan.
Arnie was known for his sense of humor, infectious laughter and his nonstop pranks.
He is survived by his wife, Beth, his four children, Genai (Stuart) McWilliams of Klammath Falls, Ore., Tami Cole of Fort Brag, Calif., Emily (Karl) Mechtenberg of Seward, Alaska, and Eric Blair of Bend, Ore.
He is also survived by his mother, Gladys Cornell, his brother Joseph (Marie) Kulka, their godson Cody, eight grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his BFF Steve Showalter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Sr., and his brother Don.
Arnie will be missed by many friends and family. “Who loves ya baby.”
