Don A. Griffiths, 63, passed away July 13, 2012, doing what he loved most, surrounded by friends running rapids.
A memorial service will be held on Friday July 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Summers Funeral Parlor, 3629 East Ustick Road, Meridian. We invite you to share an experience then if you wish.
Don was born July, 6, 1949 in Salt Lake City to Richard and Lorraine Griffiths. Don loved rafting, canoeing, fishing, hiking, just about all outdoor activities.
Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandson, Teagen. Don would go out of his way to help anyone.
He was passionate about education, graduating from the University of Utah with an Engineering degree. Then going on to UC Berkley for his master’s degree in engineering. He worked for Morrison Knudson Inc. and International Musto and Atlas Minerals and Chemicals, traveling all around the world.
Don is survived by parents, Richard And Lorraine Griffiths, daughter Adrienne (Dustin) Ford, grandson Teagen Ford, sister Julie (Dave) Carpenter, brothers Lynn (Sharon) Griffiths and Dennis (Kay) Griffiths and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Don will be sorely missed by his family and many friends. Our thanks go out to all his friends who have spent countless hours on the water with him.
We will all miss him more than we can express, but we know he is happy and with his God.
