Rebecca Lynne (Critcher) Hart, 41, passed away at her home in Meridian on July 19, 2012.
A celebration of Becky’s life was held Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Central Valley Baptist Church in Meridian. Private graveside services were held at Parkview Cemetery in New Plymouth.
Becky was born in Caldwell on Jan. 13, 1971, raised in Kuna and attended school in Kuna through ninth grade.
Becky moved with her family to Cascade, where she graduated high school in 1989. After a year spent in Washington, D.C., working as a nanny, she returned to Idaho and married Stan Brown in McCall in 1991.
In 1992, Becky and Stan welcomed a beautiful daughter, Katie Brown, into the world. Becky’s marriage to Stan was brief, and she relocated to Boise, where she attended college at Boise State University.
In 1996 she began dating Matt Hart and married him in 1997 in New Plymouth. Becky and Matt’s family grew to include not only Katie, but sons Noah (1998) and Cooper (2000).
Becky was an active volunteer at her children’s school, Chaparral Elementary, for several years including serving as PTA president and running the Breakfast with Santa event for many years.
Becky is survived by her husband Matt Hart, daughter Katie Brown, sons Noah and Cooper Hart of Meridian, parents Bud and Marge Critcher of Cascade, in-laws Chuck and Vicki Hart and Judy and Duane Presnell of New Plymouth, grandparents Ferne and Walt Simpson of Ontario, several brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and cousins.
Becky was especially close to her sister, Anne Heath of Cascade.
Becky was preceded in death by her grandma, Betty Hart of New Plymouth; brother-in-law Rex Heath of Meridian, and her childhood best friend, Julie Young of Cascade.
Katie, Noah, and Cooper would like to add, “Our mother was such a strong and loving woman. She loved her husband and children so much and would always stand by them, right or wrong, simply because they were hers.”
“She was constantly striving to get everything just right and to make sure everyone around her was happy, even if it meant her going crazy for awhile. To her it always seemed worth it.”
“She always remembered the things we find ourselves forgetting because now we all rely on smart phones. Birthdays, holidays, anniversaries were always important to her.”
“She is gone but the mark she left on everyone she loved was so special. I’m so glad life gave me you, to become me.” Remembrances may be left for the family at www.AccentFuneral.com.
