Ronald James Malvich (Weed), 65, longtime resident of Wishkah Valley, Wash., formerly of Riggins, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at his home with his family around him.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Wash.
There will be a potluck celebration for Ron on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at 4 p.m. in the shop at Tikka Construction, 3666 Wishkah Rd, Aberdeen, Wash.
Ron was born in Council on May 22, 1947, to John and Florence (Nearing) Malvich. He grew up in Riggins and graduated from Salmon River High School.
He came to Wishkah Valley and went to work on and off as a heavy equipment operator for Tikka Construction in Aberdeen.
Ronald liked to play golf when he was younger and enjoyed being outdoors.
Ronald is survived by three sons, Cris and wife Tracy Malvich of New Meadows, Levi Malvich of North Carolina, and Courtney Malvich of LaGrande, Ore.; three daughters, Wyndie Dwyer of Rochester, Wash., Amanda and husband Chad Ridgway of Aberdeen, Wash., and Chelsea and husband Ryan Simpson of Anchorage, Alaska; six grandchildren; a brother, John Malvich of Council; and a sister, Joan Prindle of Liberty Lake, Wash.
